The Frontosa Cichlid (Cyphotilapia frontosa) is a majestic East African species from Lake Tanganyika, recognized for its deep body, bold vertical stripes, and distinctive nuchal hump.

Thriving in 24–28°C and a pH range of 7.8–9.0, Frontosa requires a spacious, rock-structured aquarium with stable, highly oxygenated water.

This slow-growing, peaceful predator accepts pellets, spirulina-based foods, shrimp, and protein-rich frozen diets.

With proper care, Frontosas develop impressive size, striking coloration, and a regal presence that makes them one of the most iconic centerpiece fish in Tanganyikan aquariums.
