Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a very important nutrient for plants, as they require it for growth and development. It serves as a limiting factor in their growth; if the amount of CO2 in the plant becomes deficient, photosynthesis will stop, and the processes of food production and sugar formation will be disrupted.

Plants absorb light and water and take in carbon dioxide to produce a sugar called glucose and oxygen. The plant uses glucose as a food source. The level of carbon dioxide available to the plant determines the rate of photosynthesis. Symptoms of carbon dioxide deficiency in an aquarium can include reduced growth rates, the appearance of white spots in the center of leaves (calcium deposits), and curling of young leaves. If the deficiency or severe fluctuations continue, it can lead to the emergence of various unwanted algae, such as black beard algae. Additionally, excessive carbon dioxide levels in the aquarium can lead to poisoning and suffocation of fish.

Deep Ocean Carbon contains biological carbon that can meet the carbon needs of plants. Using this product alongside carbon dioxide injection systems helps enhance photosynthesis without causing any disruption in their functions. When a greater carbon source is needed in the aquarium and it is not possible to inject more carbon dioxide due to an excessively low pH level, this type of carbon provides it through its organic and simple compounds. After two weeks of using this product, the appearance of the plants becomes more beautiful, their health increases, and the overall level of algae decreases.

Usage Instructions:

During the initial setup of the aquarium or when siphoning more than 40% of the tank water, use one cap for every 40 liters. After that, in regular routines, use one cap for every 200 liters per day or every other day based on the needs of the aquarium.

Note: This product can be used at any time of day and will remain in the tank for a full 24 hours, but for best results, it is recommended to use it during the early hours of the aquarium’s lighting system or before using liquid fertilizers.

Note: If there are Vallisneria nana (water snake grass) or Anacharis (cat’s tail) plants in the aquarium, use less than the recommended dosage.
